Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), also known as Follicular Grafting is a hair restoration technique where a patient’s hair is transplanted from the backside of the scalp (donor area) to thinning or balding areas on the front and top of the scalp. The donor hair is transplanted in naturally occurring groups of 1 to 4 hairs, called follicular units. These follicular units consist of sebaceous (oil) glands, nerves, a small muscle, and occasional fine vellus hairs.
CT Hair & Transplant Centers has been perfecting this procedure since 1989. We were the first full-time patient center in Connecticut dedicated to hair restoration and hair transplant surgery. Our cutting edge methodology allows us to maximize the effectiveness of each surgery. The Follicular Units are small to allow the surgeon to safely transplant thousands of grafts in a single session.
With the continual advancement of our Follicular Unit Transplantation procedure, the results are incredibly natural looking. The transplanted hair will grow in the same pattern as your hairline is naturally and genetically coded. Our procedure is guaranteed to look natural and virtually undetectable as a hair transplant.
